Salt bleached wood just like my hair
An unknown land
Thick jungle covering up the hands of time
If only all my thoughts were mine
A spot on my desk
Dug out with a lack of respect for the job
Fluorescent lights a violent mob
A chime at the door
Feeling like a whore for the corporation
Smile, don’t forget your animation.
Look happy
They’ve taken our souls and taken our minds
All our wishes left behind
Unless you are one of the few to find they aren’t you
They’ll still haunt you
But you can go anywhere
A myth on a page
A world full of mages yet to come
A planet of doubt to come undone
The note on the door
It will fall to the floor when they read
“We’ll no longer support your greed”
I smile as I look up from this dream
No matter how it might seem to them
I will win
I will go anywhere.
